What’s Around Oakland Court Middle Tennessee State University is close by and is about 8 minutes driving time to get to the campus. The Middle Tennessee Medical Center is about five minutes driving time. The Oakland's Historical House Museum (OHHM) is right beside Oakland Court and is a beautiful place to walk and get some exercise while viewing the trees, artwork, and flowers. Most of the trees have educational signs posted in the ground identifying them, and benches are in various places to take a seat and relax. A recent accomplishment of the Murfreesboro Housing Authority, embraced by our ever foreseeing Executive Director Patsy Noland, is the Active Living Neighborhood Award of Excellance award for each of our MHA housing projects that are designed for healthy activity in mind.
