There is some controversy among scholars about computers and learning. Basically, it boils down to this, kids learn by interacting with their environment. A computer is just another environmental tool for kids to use in learning and building their brain to hand coordination. By no means should computers replace the human variable, such as a human teacher, and by no means should the computer be a substitute for good ole physical activity. Computers, specifically computer games, should be controlled and used as a reinforcement tool to help develop knowledge and hand to eye coordination, and occasionally to escape boredom.

Cartoon Network: A nicely created free interactive web site for kids interested in developing hand to eye coordination.
