Affordable Housing

Our Affordable Housing consists of three property areas in Murfreesboro, TN.  All of our Affordable Housing properties are smoke free. General Information

Number of Conventional Affordable Housing Units = 194

Expected Rent Family Contribution: approximately 30% of income or a choice of flat rate rent.

Flat rate rent is as follows:

one-bedroom unit = $611 per month (Oakland Court, Mercury Court & Parkside)

two-bedroom unit = $735 per month (Parkside); $731 per month (Oakland Court & Mercury Court)

three-bedroom unit = $980 per month (Parkside); $968 per month (Oakland Court & Mercury Court)

four-bedroom unit = $1,170 per month (Parkside); $1,152 (Oakland Court & Mercury Court)

five-bedroom unit = $1,1318 (Oakland Court) 

five -bedroom unit = $1,319 (Mercury Court)

Application Process

Pre-applications will be available on-line for 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 bedroom units. Computers are available for your use in MHA's lobby located at the address below. It could be up to 1 year or longer before you receive an appointment to complete your pre-application. Please do not call or come in to the office for your waiting list number (MHA does not assign numbers).

You are required to update contact information (address and phone number) on our website. The link is located under "Forms" to the left. You are responsible for notifying MHA in  writing of any changes to family composition or income changes.

Other Benefits

To reduce the amount of criminal activity in some of our areas, the Murfreesboro Housing Authority partnered with the Murfreesboro Police Department and moved in a police precinct at full staff.
